Worms can do wonders for the garden: they aerate the soil and their castings are an excellent fertilizer. To ensure a steady supply of this worm fertilizer as well as more worms for the garden, start a worm farm.

Use Red Worms or Tiger Worms only (in most nurseries). The common garden worm is not suitable.

System Setup

Worm farms are simple structures that can be done. They consist of three or four stackable crates or containersPlastic, wood or other light weight and waterproof. The worms live in the garbage and simply wriggle their way from the lowest bin in the top where the fresh food, fruit, vegetables and other waste that otherwise might miss the smell. These messages are so turned on that in the jets to make good fertilizer. Some common worm farms to sell at a price of $ 50 to $ 75 for four subjects.

The bin base has a solid plan for capturing run-off liquid from seepingtank top, and, preferably, a water tap near the base. By tilting the liquid waste through the stack can be downloaded via the tap without removing the top container.

The tank top is perforated to allow the worm through the soil to reach food fresh. These "holey" containers lock together and are deep enough to make room for the worms to move about without leaving bruises.

When I returned to No. 1 is about half full of worms and humus, or city to remove the newspaper and Hessian bin # 2 holes on top. Put food scraps in bin # 2 and again exclude light and keep theThe content is moist. In about a week the worms from bin # 1 is transferred to fresh food have in bin # 2, leaving humus that can be spread on the garden.

It 'a fact well known in the community of organic gardening, red worms, some of the best compost you can use in your garden. It's actually a very simple process, I will simplify to have to get the main thing. The process is that you get a container, fill it with dirt, add some type of bedding, water, add the worms and add organic waste and this will create with you on the path to worm composting organic whole. The problem with this method is that most peoplethis is often the space and time for this process work on an ongoing basis. Some very large companies have dedicated the entire trailer organic composting. But what if you live in an urban area? Here are some tips on how I am a worm, which work in any urban or rural situation covered.

The first thing you need to do is, the store and buy some plastic boxes. You need not be very large, but should be sturdy. If youno need to drill, you need to borrow or buy one to make air holes. Have you read the newspaper? If yes, then you have what you need to start the composting process. And, finally, to the dirt, you'll need some red worms. Make a kilo of them.

Two very important things for air and water. All animals need air and water to exist and composting worms are no different. The first thing you need to do is to cut large holes in the bottom of each compartmentwith a jigsaw. If you are present for this particular format, you will need two containers, because they are stacked on each other. This is reflected in the final separation of the two worms, of which more later.

Next you need to drill ventilation holes so that air can reach the worms. Remember that these holes will not be as big as the holes you just drilled drainage at the bottom of each container. The drainage holes should be at leastInches in diameter. Ventilation openings on the other hand, a quarter of an inch, so make sure you have enough exercises to choose from. The number of holes should be sufficient to adequately ventilate and let the bin.

You need to get your newspaper immediately. If you've just raked the lawn, the better. Used shredded newspaper and leaves, wet, and place in order to have about four inches of material on the bottom. Even if you raised beforeeach type of bird that will need to sand to eat their seeds. Similarly, worms also need a small amount of grain to digest food. You can buy corn meal or sand or if you have any dirt from outside, throw a handful into the mix, and will be fine.

If you use two containers, there will be as follows: Take the top cover and place the container on the floor. Place the second container that does not have worms, but is dirtyfour blocks at the top of the lid. Until, of course, that does not puncture the lower lid, so as to drain a reservoir for excess water in the container will behave over time. This fluid is what you would have heard called the worm.

The container with the worms will be placed at the top of a sheet of wet cardboard up of organic material and worms. Make'm finally conclude this journey into a worm, place your left on top of the capsCardboard and sealing and control over them every few days.

Worms in reality much depends on how much of each food you have. With about a thousand worms per pound, and with every thousand worms eat half their body weight per day, to have at least half a kilo of organic material for composting worm bin added every few days to be happy, full and working compost.

To check out other things you learn over time as the damp earth, andcould also assess how many worms have been replicated, because it started the whole process. Too many worms in a small area can cause death if the diet and the amounts are not maintained properly.

You're done. You have just created the worm bin lot and now that you know how to make a worm bin, you could show a friend or another and try to think the extension to the compost. Hopefully you can get some organic compounds or tea without end, will, over time, plants or vegetables that you choose to fertilize during growth are produced.
